I never expected that a mask could become a romantic gesture, just as I never expected to wear one to begin with. But my current relationship began in the pandemic, and this mask was a gift from my partner. Wearing it reminds me of him and makes me smile. Even in an incredibly tumultuous year, love is still alive.
